A plush brand with the product, but not the visibility.

The brief.

NIUNIU DADDY sells weighted stuffed animals — pandas, dinosaurs, sloths, penguins, and an entire range of anxiety-calming plush companions. The product was great. The discoverability wasn’t.

When we started, the store had decent direct traffic (loyal customers, Reddit mentions) but search engines barely registered it. The Authority Score sat at 9, branded queries weren’t owned, and 99.8% of the limited SERP visibility came from one or two head terms — leaving hundreds of long-tail product searches on the table.

The mandate: rebuild SEO from the ground up in 60 days, lock down brand SERPs, and give the product catalog a real shot at organic discovery.

03 / Challenges

Three structural problems holding the store back.

A broken technical foundation

Misconfigured robots.txt was blocking key Shopify directories. The sitemap referenced dead product variants. Hundreds of 404s were burning crawl budget on URLs Google should never have seen.

Surface-level on-page SEO

Product titles read like internal SKU names (e.g. “Customized weighted plush toys · None“). Heading hierarchy was inconsistent across collection pages. There was no topical structure connecting plush categories to anxiety, gifting, or sleep use cases.

Authority Score was 9 — barely a pulse. Without foundational backlinks and citations, even well-optimized product pages couldn’t compete in a category dominated by Walmart, Amazon, and Target listings.
